Between the mountains and Bolzano

4-star superior Hotel Belvedere in San Genesio, South Tyrol

High above yet so close to Bolzano lies this 4-star superior retreat in South Tyrol, honored with international architecture awards. Everything feels harmonious, the atmosphere pleasantly unique. Why? Is it the interior design? The ever-present panoramic views over Bolzano and across to the Dolomites? The people and their passion? 01/06

Award-winning architecture

The hotel's architecture seamlessly blends with the natural surroundings and mountain landscape, as if it had always been there. It bridges the gap between the old and the new, combining deep roots with forward-looking design. The emphasis lies on the view outward. Natural details, high-quality textiles and carefully chosen accessories add the finishing touch.

02/06

Belessere SPA

A heated infinity pool (32°C) and whirlpool (34°C) provide soothing warmth in the crisp winter air. Additional well-being is ensured by the outdoor sauna with panoramic views of Bolzano, the traditional South Tyrolean parlor sauna, the herbal sauna, and the steam bath. A fitness room, a yoga room, and cozy relaxation areas complete the offer.

03/06

South Tyrolean gourmet cuisine

Our culinary philosophy is grounded, close to nature and modern, mirroring the architectural concept of the house. The Belvedere pampering board includes a generous breakfast featuring the finest regional products and a 5-course à la carte dinner in the panoramic restaurant each evening. At lunchtime, you can select from the bistro menu for an additional charge.

04/06

Bolzano in no time

The travel time to South Tyrol’s capital is just under ten minutes by car and 20 minutes by public transport. As our guest, you can use public transport free of charge with the BozenCard. A convenient shuttle takes you from the hotel to the bus stop and back.

05/06

Guaranteed Panoramic Views

From almost every corner of the hotel you can enjoy sweeping views: whether from the pool, the sauna, the restaurant, or your room. The panorama stretches from the rocky giants of the Dolomites to the southern border of South Tyrol. At night, Bolzano sparkles in the valley below like a shimmering jewel.

06/06

Wine & Design

One of the signature colours of the hotel is called “Lagrein,” named after the South Tyrolean grape variety that produces a deep burgundy-coloured red wine. This and many other exquisite wines from nearby boutique wineries can be sampled on-site. Regular wine tours to local vineyards are also part of the experience.

Variety makes the difference.

Close to nature, close to the city: the location above Bolzano keeps distances short and the list of possibilities long.

Bolzano Christmas Market

The Bolzano Christmas Market is the largest of its kind in all of Italy and delights countless visitors. From late November until the beginning of the new year, Walther Square at the foot of the cathedral transforms into a festive winter wonderland. Eighty beautifully decorated wooden stalls offer traditional handicrafts and delicacies from South Tyrolean cuisine.

Ski trips in the surroundings

Those who prefer to spend winter on skis will find a wide choice of slopes in the nearby Dolomites and Sarntal Alps. Within 35 to 40 minutes you can reach the ski areas of Reinswald, Merano 2000, Obereggen, Alpe di Siusi, and the famous Sella Ronda. The hotel’s drying room ensures that your equipment is quickly ready for use again.

Along snowy paths

The many rays of sunshine on the Salten plateau are best enjoyed during leisurely winter walks and snowshoe tours. From Christmas until Epiphany, we accompany you on guided snowshoe hikes. Snowshoes and trekking poles are available for rent at the hotel.

Sun Terrace Jenesien

The South Tyrolean mountain village of Jenesien remains a wonderfully undiscovered place and a hideaway for your very own time-out far from the hustle and bustle. Known as Bolzano’s “sun terrace,” Jenesien nestles in an unspoiled natural landscape of meadows, forests, and alpine pastures. Fascinating views of the Dolomites are guaranteed here, wherever you look.
